Dr. Woods has over 30 years of working with at-risk and vulnerable youth from community outreach, group homes, residential settings, and up to but not limited to the last stop as the Director of Security & Operations with the Davidson County Juvenile Detention Center along with additional experience in Behavioral Health as a Psycho-Educational Instructor with a local company and as a Risk Analyst to a leading behavioral healthcare company. In addition, Dr. Woods has served as a Faculty Member (Ground – Instructor) at a leading private university, instructing courses in Business Communications & Critical Thinking, Organizational Leadership, Organizational Development, Organizational Negotiations, Management Theory & Practice, and Management.

Dr. Woods has years of practical experience engaged in roles demanding the ability to work easily and effectively with others at virtually any level (Corrections and Behavioral Health). Dr. Woods's strongest suit lies in the fact that he has been able to de-escalate volatile situations by directly communicating with people (staff, patients, juveniles, organizational leaders, etc.) experiencing situations that have caused them stress or strain. Dr. Woods’ experience has identified that by taking the time to precisely determine one’s problems and providing what are usually simple solutions, crises quickly evaporate, and goodwill is re-established. Dr. Woods continues to take great pride in his contributions to date and abilities to foster a bond between the person served and the organization devoted to that service.
